Stuck Fuel Gauge..... Yep, that's more likely....

Damn Fuel gauge has been stuck on about 3/4 of a tank all week....

Have any of ya'll had to replace yours????

It just pulls out of the tank but is it really that easy to replace???? I pulled and out it popped but then I stuck back in place and figured I'd ask the question before I fucked something up.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It sounds like it may be the fuel sending unit and not the gauge itself....

I'll try that first....

Thanks, anyway.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I hope you figure it out Robert, I got a good look at my float system when I changed out my fuel filter, it looks like a freakin Chinese mouse trap I gave it a wide berth it's probably not grunt proof.

My softail is the first bike I've owned that has a gas gage, a lot handier then I thought.

Use thr tripmeter not worth the headache for the fuel gauge.
Could be the gauge it self or the float inside the tank.

But where would the fun be in that????

I would probably just do that but the LCD screen on my odometer is so hard to read that I would only be able to read the trip meter at night.... That's another thing that I need to replace.... Oh Well....
