I gave my baby her first bath yesterday. Looked fantastic when I was done but I noticed water drops in the turn signals. I used the blow dryer then ran the bike w/ the signals on for awhile - trying to dry them out.

Is this something I really need to avoid at bathtime??
Is it gunna cause me problems??

I don't think it is anything to be overly concerned about. Afterall, the plastic lense caps on the front of the turn signal are not air tight anyways, they do come off. I might be mistaken here, but if I remember correctly, there is a little indention on the edge of the lense caps to assist in their removal. Make sure that the indention is facing down. If it is facing up this may be where the water is getting in.

Same thing happens to my turn signals everytime I wash my bike. I just take the caps off and dry the cap and inside the turn signal.

here's my thinking.......

they built the bike to go forward....not backward or sideways.....sooooo, when I blow dry it I try to get the bulk of the water off by blowing it towrd the back....

I dunno, hogfart

WTF, NR? You been staying up worrying about this? (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/hysterical.gif)

Zip probably doesn't even know how to check the turn signal fluid. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/hysterical.gif)

It's the Harley way. I get it in my fender marker lamps and my gauges too sometimes. They said it's normal, nothin to worry about. Guess they didn't want it watertite.

My problem is my washer fluid. Always seems to spray me right in the face when I use it while on the road. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif)

I used to have this problem with my Sturgis. I found by not washing the bike I easily solved the problem.
