Looking for suggestions on beefing up the shocks on a Sporty (05' 1200C)
Has to be something economical. Is it possible to use shocks of a touring
HD and transplant them to the Sporty? If so off what bike would you suggest?

I do not know the exact lengths of the two different shocks.

Is this for a "heavier" rider to be on a sporty?? If so, I would not recomend it ... seems that that bike is designed for less then 225 lbs total weight with passenger and any / all gear.

I have Biker's Choice shocks on an '01 RG. Relatively speaking, they were inexpensive. Have Progressive 440s on an '11 RG. Far inferior to the Waaaay less expensive Biker's Choice.

That is as it relates to smooth ride for touring. Both handle plenty well to toss the bike around.

I think about $300/pair. If that's too high, maybe used mkt.
Can't speak to using bagger shocks. Know less than zero about Sporties.
