My friend Sleazemore came by and we rode to the Skyline Drive where I got my old geezer $10 lifetime pass and while nearing Luray I felt a wobble and stopped to find the rear tire going flat. Sleazemore went home and got his truck/trailer and hauled me home. Rear has ~ 10K with some tread left but I think it's time for a new one. 1st the lifter and now this, not the best of luck riding this year.

At least a slow leak and not a blowout (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerbang1.gif)

We rode up to Rock Falls today. Goal? Chicken George with Jan's sauce, of course!! Both my tires are DONE and half expected the same thing, Tom. Sorry it happened. Glad it was a relatively "gentle" let down. No damn fun loading them up and carrying them home.

Damn. Sorry to hear it. HST sure goes through a lot of tires, collectively.

Mikey said he threw the tires on the Glide last year. How many miles can I expect from them? The Deuce was good for about 17k on the rear and a little less on the front. But I rode them until they were almost slicks... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)

Glad it wasn't anything major Tom...

Ride safe

Your rear should see similar mileages, Ordy. The front might gain a little because you're now rolling a fatty up front. Your deuce had a skinny tire before, didn't it!?
But generally, the front doesn't get as many miles as the rear.

We are curious how far we can go on the trikes. Rears should last forever. We got around 12K on the front tire of the '09. I was riding on a pretty bald tire when we traded it in. 3rd front tire. Traded the '11 before we changed the front.

since we now have the exact same bike ...

dependent on riding style ... I would estimate 13k on front and 10k on back

I think I got the front/rear durability backward. Oops.
