Today was our annual Walt Gray Ride he is a local TV anchor who rides a harley who organized this event 12 years ago I think!

in the past Highway Patrol shuts down the interstate for the group and local pd escorts us through town parade like! Good time with music and vendors at the end!

HOLY SHIT this year was a major cluster fuck 4000 plus bikes all entering the Interstate in a free for all manner with ALL the regular traffic headed for the mountains DONNER SUMMIT to be exact! Sugar Bowl ski resort was the destination so you know that means increased elevation with truckers on the Interstate....fucking two lanes with 1000's of bikes and cars and truckers the pack got split in several spots, people fucking racing to catch up shit we were already doing 80mph as a group! fuckers all over the free way cutting in and out fucking crazy rookies on there new bikes and NO FUCKING SIGNS for the exit so 5 guys go to pull off the freeway for gas and everyone pulls off, people doubling back because they thought they missed the exit only to find out they were suppose to be on the frontage road. What a fucking mess! I almost got rear ended by a bike i did get cut off (saw it coming) fuck

We did exchange a novelty for a brand new full face helmet, part of some exchange program. Funny part is we just bought another novelty inside the event!

We left early took hwy 20 through the mountains to save the day. It was a nice ride and we got away from all the fucking douche bags on the freeway!

Fuck man what a day! home safe and sound! cant wait for Wednesday!

Glad you survived the gauntlet. Situations like that are why I don't ride in the Trail of Tears ride here every year. Too many risks.

Holy shit dude they used to do a good job made me actually start to like "cops" (besides the ones i've let in my I like cops club) CHP motor cops would sweep and block, fucking local motor cops on Harleys and in there cars! Dont get me wrong it IS NOT THE COPS FAULT this thing is fucked up its the orginizers or the dept heads that wont allow a safer event!

crazy fucking free for all!

side note wtf is wrong with you guys? this aint a political thread ? so only 1 comment? It was funny to hear it was Oboma's fault they were giving away free helmets!

Same reason we dropped the Love Ride. 10,000 bikers up all night at Glendale Harley waiting to ride with Jay Leno, and a bunch of 'stars' Total cluster fuck getting from there to the freeway, 22 miles to my house and another 9 to Castaic Lake for the "Biggest 1 day motorcycle celebration in the country" Very surprised more people don't et tangled up at the start. We did the whole ride twice, second time to verify it was as bad as we thought the first one was. Did two more from our house, then price of tickets hit $75.00 a piece and you had to tolorate all the little gang bangers

Ty you ride sounds like our last toys for tots run, I had too many close calls to count on a short ride.

I hate to say it but I think I have sworn off so called organized rides with Peaple I don't know. There are a Hell of a lot of idiots on motorcycles.
