I'm taking off Thursday morning to meet one of my Brothers and his Son in Alabama. Gonna leave from there and take the long route through the woods to Nashville. Gonna hang there and act stupid on Music Row, go to Arrington Vineyard and then take a local Brewery tour. After the tour who knows? :-)

Good for you Sammy. Not sure what our status is due to me having a mission that could keep me working this weekend. Won't know till Friday night after I lock the door if I'm free for the weekend. Keep us in mind if you want us to ride a while with you.

Yeah, let us know. If you pass by around dinner time, we would be happy to take you to dinner (I would even if she is unable). If it works out, we/I could ride with you a bit.

Hopefully you won't get stuck all weekend. I'm guessing we'll be in Nashville by early afternoon. If you get off early enough on Friday holler at me and maybe we can hook up with you guys. I'll PM you my #.

Sounds great, Sammy! Enjoy!

We've gone to the cemetery where my parents are buried (Riverside in Hennepin) for the last few years. Nothing finalized yet though.

Sammy, what day and time will you be making the B to C leg? We're right in the middle of that triangle.

Gonna leave "B" about mid-morning,9-10 or so. Gonna take some back roads through the Bankhead Park. We'll probably hit 65 at Decatur around noon. We are not gonna be in a hurry. Perk of retirement. :-)

Tomorrow (Thursday) I'm gonna see if I can be off Friday. I might could ride down to B and ride up. OR I might meet you in Decatur and ride from there.
All depends on if I can be off. I might be the only guy left in the office and therefore the "stuckee".

Let me know tomorrow, as early as you can, if you can get off Friday. If you can get off we'll figure out where to meet up. If you call and I don't answer I will call you back when I stop.

No plans as of now. May go visit his dad in Tarpon Springs tomorrow. We've been down to one vehicle for a while. Car is in the shop, my bike has been down for a month. Can't figure out what the underlying problem is. and I am almost out of AAA tows. Have a good trip, Sammy, be safe.

We had a wedding to go to yesterday in the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright territory of Spring Green. It was at this hunting lodge: Cedar Valley Preserve - a most unique setting! The sun shone on these two kids as they exchanged their vows outdoors with the birds singing all around - idyllic.

Today I take my Mom to visit her family cemetery, which will include another nice drive and hope to hook up with the boys at our son Ryan's cabin afterward....maybe spend the night and take in a campfire if the rain holds off!

Plan's yeah we had plenty, reality sitting home watching the storms. In the words of the late great SRV its flooding down in Texas.
We are having the wettest year in recorded history and are two feet above normal, Memorial Day weekend is normally a huge money maker for our beach town and our beaches are 6" underwater from all of the endless flooding.

Ok end of whine Y'all enjoy the weather if it nice where your at.

I could have guessed. You may know I play a little golf. Watching the Crowne Plaza tour event this weekend (Ft. Worth). The course looks like it's in Illinois, not Texas! Damn thing is soft and totally green. That ain't Tehas golf!!

Sorry bruddah!

We drove over to the Alabama Jubilee in Decatur, AL. Big hot air balloon fest. It was windy so none of the balloons were up. Walked around the craft show and the mini carnival. Ok, enough exercise for today. We need to go and pay tribute to the fallen soldiers tomorrow. We didn't make any plans for this weekend because I was supposed to work....oh happy day, no working !!!!

Wow what a dinner. Grilled 2 New York Strip Steaks that have been soaking in Sweet and Spicy Chili Marinade for 2 days. Vesta made a batch of veggies seasoned with Ranch dressing and grilled. Tonight after dark the Avi Hotel is having it's annual Memorial Day Fireworks display. Tomorrow its off to the Tri State Gun Club to put a bunch of holes in 6" pie plates at 75 and 100 feet.

Tuesday the 'weekenders' will be going home and us locals will have the river to ourselves. Boat goes in right after breakfast.

Neither Laughlin Nv. nor Bullhead City Av. had Memorial Day parades. The river and lake were jammed with weekenders so we decided to stay off the water until tomorrow when they all go home.

That leaves the shooting range. Since it is Members Only 90% of the time we had it pretty nearly alone. 2 guys on the pistol range, no one at the skeet range, and only 1 other on the rifle range. Did a lot of blasting. There is a little Mexican Food joint way off the beaten path, known only to us locals. So, shooting, breakfast (tamales, eggs and beans) then home.

Hell of a fireworks show Sunday night at the Avi Hotel on the Ft. Mohave (Arizona does spell it this way) Indian Reservation. Took some pictures, but they just don't do justice to the show.

Her: .22lr Colt and Makarov .380 Me: Hi Point 45acp Carbine

Looks like a nice carbine. I was looking a joining a local city range. They won't allow the steel case 7.62X39 rounds even though the bullets are lead. The brass AK rounds are too expensive. So I just hit a range that a friend is a member of a couple times a year.

BTW, I'm picking up a Ruger Speed Six, Stainless Steel, 2.75", 357 this weekend!!!!!!!!!!

That is a Ruger stainless 45 on my hip. The carbine is a Hi Point 45. I have the same carbine chambered in 9mm. Fun 'plinker' guns since .22 rounds cost about the same as 9mm
