Hello All,
I'm new to tis forum. I live near Chicago and have been riding over 15 years.
On Saturday, I take delivery of a (new to me) 2013 Harley Super Glide Custom.
It's pretty much stock. One thing I want to do is change the pipes.

What I am wondering is, Since it's fuel injected, once the pipes are installed, what do I do next?
On my last bikes, a 2003 Yamaha Roadsar. When we changed the pipes, no rejet was necessary. Only rejet when we changed the air intake.

Thanks in advance.

If you just change the exhaust you don't have to re-map but if you change to a free flow air cleaner you do.

Thank's everyone for all for your help.

I take delivery of my Harley on Saturday. (Can't wait!)

Now, I have to figure out what style exhaust to buy.

In the past, I've used Vance & Hines. Will probably go with the same brand.

Thanks!

V & H make really good looking exhaust. AND YOU PAY DEARLY for those good looks! Like Tom (Oak) said, Cycle Shack make some good sounding exhaust at a fraction of the price. Also, google up Rush Mufflers. Their site will let you select the mufflers and bike and they have audio of how it sounds.

Personally, I'm against total exhaust replacement unless you are a flat out racer. Changing just the mufflers will give you a great sound and you won't have to drop a grand or two.

Of all the Harleys I've owned, absolutely love my '03 Dyna. Now that I'm old I've added a 3rd wheel so I can keep riding. Enjoy!!

I practice what I preach (most of the time). I have Cycle Shack mufflers on my 09 EG. Sound is great, enough back pressure to keep torque, free flow enough to increase HP. Open throttle sounds great, cruising I can still talk to my wife on the back. Bought them on ebay for around $200.
