I'm still waiting for confirmation for Thursday vacation day, but I have Friday and Monday locked in. If I can get Thursday, I'll probably spend Wednesday night somewhere around the quad cities or possibly someplace a little further north. If that's the case, I'll hook up with the Spurs crew. If I head out Thursday, I'll make some calls and figure out where to head. I'll be out of work by 1:30 so I'll be on the road by 1:34. Can't wait to see everyone!!

You should look up how far it is from you to Hasting's MN....If it's closer than the quad cities, you can shack up with us Wednesday and take off Thursday with the six-pack headed south. We expect to make an all day tour of things getting down to Bruce's Thursday evening.

So Thursday is a lock. I appreciate the invite Seahag, and will more than likely take you up on the offer. But, I still need to firm a few things up, before I commit. From me to you is right around 370 miles, so making it there Wednesday night is a breeze, depending on when I can get out of work. Worse case, I grab a motel near the river and meet you guys Thursday before you roll out of Mankato.

Sounds like fun.... Kurt, Deb, Trina and Mike have never been to Poopy's in Savannah; so I'm looking forward to rolling down the river on the way to Bruce's with a few cool stops.

I'll push for your place Wednesday night, and see how it goes. We'll definitely talk in the days (weeks) leading up to the date. I'm down with riding with that crew again!! As they say, miles of smiles 😎👍

The races are on Sunday. Heat races start at 2 p.m.

A little worried about attendance. But, hey, I''ve not been in years. So, whatever!

I would like to know who all is IN for the races. Obviously, all welcome to stay over to Monday.

I believe our Minnesota group are all in for the racing as well. We intend to stay Sunday night and leave Monday morning for home. Was contacted by Ted [MNHog] and it sounds like he will be joining our 6-pack + Gary for the ride down on Thursday.

Bruce and Tee:

I'm out.

Was trying to coordinate a way to fly out and rent a car but wifey put the kibosh on that. Sucks. Bruce haven't seen you since Ty's wake and it would have been great to finally meet Tee. Some other time I guess. We'll be in Pittsburgh, moving our daughter and her roommate into her apartment for the next year.

Hope you guys and gals have great weather and a great time with great friends. These things always turn out nice.

Can someone do us a favor and print and frame an 8x10 of Ty and Joey and put it up in a conspicuous spot? They'll always be a presence at these things. Miss Ty....

Ride safe

Bruce,

Since we won't be able to make it out to your place this year either....

If it's OK with ya'll I can take care of Ordy's request and have something at your doorstep before the rally...

With that said....

We're going to miss all of you but we'll look forward to the next time....

How's sleeping arrangements looking? I know in our group Trina, who has fibromyalgia would appreciate a real bed; while Sara and I will be comfortable anywhere with air conditioning. Do we need to box up and mail some air mattresses down?

Right now we have your crew of 6 upstairs, where there is one real bed Trina can have. It's a fairly firm mattress.

I haven't had time to pull out my stash and verify they're still holding air yet. But I know I have (2) with leaks I can't locate. We just bought 2 new ones last weekend. (We arrived at the cabin we rented with my sister only to find two of the beds had only box springs and no mattresses!!!)

Assuming my unchecked inventory is good, I'm short 5 mattresses (and sheets).

I don't really want to have to spring for 5 more mattresses, but I can get the same mattresses I bought at Walmart a 2-pack of queens for $24. (They're the old fashion low ones, not the super high ones.) I don't know if you could ship mattresses down and back for $12 ea.

Our goal is everyone is in air conditioning.

We're looking to convert the garage to "Shed 2.0"

I can probably figure out a way to haul 2 queen mattresses and maybe two sets of sheets if you have the pump to blow them up. Let me know.

Hate that you might need to do that Rick!! Appreciate it! Don't pack yet!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hysterical.gif) We'll see. Yeah, no idea how much to ship 'em two ways.

We've been putting new decking on the back of the house. Absolutely necessary!! Plus, she's working on "The Wedding Cake" project at work. It's the structure that holds antenae on top of Sears Tower in Chicago. Namely WLS! The last one fell apart and they (WLS) hired the same sorry engineer to design the replacement!! She's working with an incompetent drafting department and a demanding sales person. SHE is trying to produce a quality, long lasting, product for 'em and make some money for Rohn. With little help.

I believe she's about ready (maybre today) to "route" it! That means turn it over to production, which she also planned in great detail, down to every damn weld! Amazing!

I'm "on the deck" this moring. Made a cut last night an inch too long (better than too short). BUT I THREW THAT SON OF A BITCH DOWN AND QUIT!! Backl at it this moring. Hopefully beat the heat. Upper 90s here 'til Saturday! Index over a "C" note!!

Edit: So, I gotta pay for Photobucket?! Can't see any of the attachments. Ain't goona pay either. Not usre about the "pay" part but heard it over on a gun forum. Same "logo" replavcing the pics. Anyone know what's up?

Capitalism Bruce... They tell you, hey come on over water's great and then they hit you with the fee once you're balls deep in the pool. They noticed that the majority of users post up mostly pictures that they are going to post on websites likes our's so there's a big opportunity for some profit in this and they started charging. All those pics that we posted to this site and other's, from Photobucket, no longer show up unless you pay the fee. Guess I'll have to start using my private photo server at home and screw Photobucket!

Ride safe

I do not have a paid account, but the picture of the trees shows up. I can't explain why.
By the way, there are so many freakin' ads popping up on photobucket it is damn near unusable.

We are also preparing to ship out two quality high rise queen air mattresses we bought for the rally last year. Heavy duty, rated for like 600 pounds...which helps me sleep better. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
