Lodging .... please let me know where each of you align

List One -- (bed (NOT likely) or couch or floor ... as space allows)) However, showering schedule WILL have to be detailed on a sign-up sheet

List Two -- (Hotel -- but still close to action)

I contacted 15 places ... I found one that I know is ok and about 25 minutes from my house ... Holiday Inn in Port Washington $230 per night

This might work out even better if I end up putting some people in at in the basement unit of our Duplex.

I am working on other options as well ...

Hundreds of thousands of people will be there! At the concert, final night of the 100th, there were an estimated 150,000 peeps there. Who, all left immediately after Elton John was announced! (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/hysterical.gif)

Expnsive rooms not too surprising!

"T", just for reference, checked on Holiday Inns in the area. $180 to $350. Two, at least, were already booked!

no body is "in" or "out" yet

please just get on one of the two lists so I can create a plan to facilitate lodging

I just need to know who might be able to stay at a hotel versus community lodging.

(* Hotel will probably be Holiday Inn in Port Washington WI at $230 night *)

I want everyone to be able to make it ... even if I have to set-up a couple of tents ...

Yeah! What he said!!

Put us on "List Two". Would like to explore sharing. A ROOM THAT IS! (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/hysterical.gif)

Plus, we may not make six (6) nights, as indicated in the first post.

We'll see. IT'S EARLY!

Hotel for BC and SL. Sharing a room possible so long as there's no snoring.

Hotel-wise probably less then a month or so ... I contacted about 30 so far with 2 still getting back to me on potential rooms.

For the peeps that have not been to a HD gathering in Milwaukee ... LOTS of bikers attend.

I am hoping to have lodging nailed down in next week or so.

110th HD passes are available starting next Monday (12/17/2012) ... right now if HOG member.

Frustrating huh Mike, no matter how many times you say your working on alternatives people are dropping out! Peeps need to just chill we aint even in 2013 yet.

Never done one of these anniversary thangs before so i got this question. Do we need to get the "tickets" right away or does it not really matter?!!

Sandra is 99.9% in but we may hold off on her ticket just so we dont waste any money, (she/we are actually going to try and go to Italy in 2013 I think she said! Airfare is all we got to pay, every thing else is taken care of by Sandra's family but her son will only be there 1 1/2 more years :/ sounds crazy to me that i might get to do this :)

The 100th was a sell out (no surprise, but was not sold out until about 3 months before).

My guess will be that tickets will be available ... I would guess that many dealerships will be buying a bunch as well to sell or give away with new bikes ... as a last resort.

I think there is some time for tickets ... but that could change quickly.

This is like going to Sturgis during the bike rally or one month before ... still Sturgis either way ... but lodging pricing is DRASTICALLY different for the same place.

Why not just change the dates for the Rally? Granted, the HD birthday may be a big deal for some, but that isn't the reason for the ride, for me anyway. Prices will be cheaper and it'll free up some floor space in Micheal's floor.

I'm with you Sammy, all I really want to see is the Museum and maybe a special group factory tour and lots of fun and laughs with good friends. Hey maybe even some riding in Mikes area.

Agreed. .....and because I've been told (even after my surgery) I sometimes snore I'll need a room. Can't do a "joint" venture as I'd like to keep my friends. hahaha

Been there on the way to Tomah...never again. Damn sinus cavities!
