Ty hauled his bike to His AZ house, stopping to see folks en route. He made it to his AZ house and unloaded his bike.

Packed and already to go this AM!

He left his house and got on I-10 west of Phoenix and didn't make it 10 miles and the bike started sputtering. He pulled off on an exit ramp and is hoping it's just a short where he wired in his cigarette lighter power adapter

Will post back when I know more.

Ty got his bike hauled back to his AZ house.

Will advise when fixed and back on the road again - hopefully it's something minor.

What????

Hope it's just the wiring....

Keep us posted...

I put one of those chargers on mine but it just plugs into the lead for the trickle charger no wiring to mess with....

I wonder what he used???

It may be something else, Robert. He is feeling uneasy about the stator, as it was acting much like it did at the HST deal in CA a couple years ago.

I'll post up when I know more.

Don't know what he had to do to get the problem resolved, but Ty is back on the road!

He took of the charging add-on that he installed and added some gas. One of them did the trick . . . (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)

Yeah he did, but a missed turn has him a couple hundred miles south of where he should be right now. Having an adventure for sure!

Anybody other than Sammy and Screwball using that Life360 tracking program? I'll probably download the app and use it for this trip to try it out.

BTW: What's the address to where we're staying in Milwaukee area? I'll get my GPS set up for next week.

Fuckin' Ty is now (1:18 CDT) in Tucumcari, NM.

He has traveled only 237 miles so far today.

He has 600 miles left to get to my house.

I kinda think he maybe was exaggerating his motivation by saying he was getting up at 4:30 to hit the road early - ya think?

The good part is that he hasn't taken a wrong turn - yet!

Fuckin' Ty . . .

Randy is getting in tomorrow at 1:15 PM.

Ty was supposed to get here by supper, but . . .

I told him he can get in as late as he wants, but if he gets too tired to not push it and get a room.

I activated the Life360 app. It's a much more user friendly app than the google one I used in the past. Now if only NiteRider and LoudNproud would install it... (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)

I already checked in on Ty crossing Texas and the Screwballs out there in Oregon.

Sweet! (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) I sent Sara an invite too. There's lots of times she's out of town on her own, like today visiting the State Fair with the boys, when it would be nice to keep track of her progress on the way home. She sometimes forgets those courtesy messages saying "I made it safely" that I expect of her. Of course, getting her to turn her GPS on will be the next struggle. Life 360 is a cool app. For what you guys are using if for, tracking friends progress and getting together but on a day to day thing even with my wife it seems a bit intrusive to me.

Big Ty passed Wichita, KS and should be at my house in a couple hours, a little after 1 AM.

I am going to leave in about a hour and meet him at the Lawrence, KS rest area for a much needed Tecate infusion.

Long day for the big guy!

Talked to him when he was fueling up this side of Wichita. Seemed good!

I figured that by telling him I had a cold Tecate or two waiting for him in Lawrence, he me very motivated to get there.
