I VOTE FOR IDAHO IN 2014!

We KNOW your vote... and I'm there with ya'. Route 12 Baby!! But, if it's The Mile, we're hosting or co-hosting. Whatever. I'd love to try it again! What are the odds there will be another hurricane? (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/holysheep.gif)

Sara and I got home just after 4pm today. We made real good time on the way home and never had a drop of rain this whole trip. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/bike.gif) I was even wiped out enough from the road to get a solid hour and a half nap before work tonight. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

Don't know if Mike and Ty shared the news with Bruce and T yet, but it sounds like the plan for the 2014 rally, since no one has stepped up to host next year, will be centered around the Springfield Mile flat track races and no doubt hosted at HST central HQ in Metamora Ill. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Glad yall made it home safe and had a good time. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/beerbang1.gif)

We're Home....

Well in Tejas... Still about 5 hrs. from home but it feels good to be back in our Home State....

Missed seeing you too, Fred...

The crowds weren't an issue and a Great Time was had by everyone....

Wish you could've made it...

I've got more pics that I'll post later.... :-)

Wish I could have made it too. Maybe next year. Let us know when you've made it all the way home.

We were going to extend our trip by riding to KC with Big Ty on Thursday. "T" was helping her sister paint. She fell off two layers of scaffold today. Landed flat on her back. An ambulance ride and several X-rays later... nothing broken.
But (operative word) her butt is some kind of sore and can hardly walk at this point. So, very reluctantly I canceled with Spurrs and Ty.
Bummed!!! (in more ways than one)

My 2 cents:

Bruce, I am so sorry to hear about T's fall and her trip to the ER. Very happy to find out just big bruises and aches . . . could have been much worse! Also, was looking forward to hosting you both at my house instead of the other way around for once - sorry you guys can't make it now. Just for me, go into the bedroom and tell T that she shouldn't be doing man's work in the first place and this wouldn't have happened if she'd stayed in the kitchen . . . you'll see how much she has recovered very quickly! HA!

Thanks to ALL for their hospitality on trip: Bruce, T, Mike, Alisa, Gary and everyone else for making it another fun, successful and extremely entertaining trip.

Thanks to Ty for changing the rear tire on the bike I was riding and Bruce for arranging the tire at his local "jack of all trades" guy. Bruce can put his knee pads away for another time . . .

Regarding next year - can't wait! I do like the time frame of having the rally during the week leading up to and including Labor Day weekend. It works out well for lots of us, as it's not really a family oriented holiday and the extra day off helps some with travel times. I move we hold the "Annual Get-together" always on Labor Day Weekend.

Can't believe how fast the time flies. It occured to me a little bit ago it's already been one week since we kicked the rally off. I'm so glad we took an extra day and came out on Wednesday...especially since Robert and Anita busted their ass and arrived just 20 minutes or so after us. My man Robert and I were the last two up each night...not wanting to miss a single second of the experience.

Thanks to everyone for all the memories. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/beerbang1.gif)

Dennis Leary had a joke about his dad. Tough as nail's Irishman who wood paneled everything in their house, including the ceiling. One day he was cutting some paneling in the living room, with a power saw when he stopped cutting and waltzed into the kitchen with half his finger hanging from bone and skin. Grabbed a roll of duct tape and taped his finger back on. Went back to the living room to finish his panelling job. Denis Leary said that after that day he and his siblings never cried in front of their dad.

You remind me of that Tee. Tough as nails…

Get well soon kiddo…

It was truely awesum to see all of you. I still find it difficult to believe that a freak of humanity such as myself, was lucky enough to hook up with a group as incredible as you guys (& gals). T, I think Bruce needs to get on Google and learn some asian massage techniques, but don't trust any online accupuncture tutorials. Anyway, I hope you have a speedy recovery, I'm sure being laid up is killing you. Also, a huge thanks for dinner and the overall vibe of HST central. I will be touching base with most of you individually when I get contact info from Nightrodrider???. Fred, next year for sure!! Sick & Sammy, it's to bad you had other plans, you guys were missed. Looking forward to next year, I'm open to anywhere/anytime, if it means I get to party with this group, I'M IN!!!!!!!!!! Why yes it is, thanks for asking. It's a 2012 Road Glide Ultra, and I love everything about it. You guys will see it when we're in HST central next year for the 9th annual rally (the 8th was my 3rd in a row) (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/beerbang1.gif) (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) .
