Frickin' Gunsmoke. Been watching it off and on lately. Hell, it's still quality TV as far as I'm concerned.

Growin' up watchin' Gunsmoke on Saturday nights is why I always believed Miss Kitty is the main reason I have this thing for Redheads......well, her and Ginger from Gilligan's Isle. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)

Gun Smoke, Have Gun,,, Most TV westerns were filmed about 4 miles from me

Thanks for including me (in spirit anyway) on the list of attendees. There are only a couple of us West Coasters left and a 3000 mile journey for a fun filled weekend is a bit much. Remember, I'm old enough to be Ty's father. Got this thing about flying too.

I was looking forward to the possibility of meeting you and Vesta in Montana/Idaho this summer. Unfortunately we had to postpone that trip until next year.

Red eyebrows and porcelain skin are even more apparent in black and white than they are in color. Look close at the pic I posted and see if she could be anything else but.

Besides......the Sunday TV section of the paper was in color, even back in 1960. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)

What is that old Harley sayin'? It ain't the destination, but the journey? Texas and Cape Cod were about 5000 miles and ten days for us, and they were both just a weekend rally....and we had to work up to the day we left and had to be back to work the day after we got back. Those trips were two folks on a two wheeled bike and a thin pocketbook. C'mon Stevo, go for it!

What? You mean we don't get better as we age....

The last ten years have been a rocket ship to hell physically, I don't even want to think what the next ten are going to be like.

Reminds me of the "Docs" only at bat in Field of Dreams. Shoeless Joe says, "He put two in your ear. Where do you think the next pitch will be? Doc says, "Low and away". Joe says something like, "That's right now get in there. But watch for the one in your ear!"

Ya' just never know!!

Ya....gettin' old sucks. I 'spose bein' 60, Dot and I should start limiting our riding. Clay can probably testify how hard we struggled to keep up to him and Sarah when they were here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)

Seems on many of the major long rides to rallies, it was us old farts that made the longest treks and did the least amount of whining when we got there and back. My concerns aren't about my age and the wear on my bones, but the age of my bike and it's wear.

Actually, I got a feelin' Vesta and Old Screwy could ride a lot of the younger ones here into the ground, especially with their nice rides and the way they ride them and their jet-skies continuously. Hell, from my experience, riding 500 miles in a day is much easier on my old body that watching the 3 grandkids all at once for two hours!

I wasn't disin' Steve, just hoping to persuade him and his better half into joining the fun. He has been such an integral part of HST over the years, he really needs to come to one of the major get-togethers and see what he's missin'.

55 to 65 was a piece of cake. it is the 65 to 70 that is a bitch. Hell, Vesta just applied for her Social Security. Just had an MRI from the ass down looking for pinched nerves etc. Dr. had a shit fit when I told him how many Alive I was taking daily.

I didn't think you were "disin' ", Buck. Just stating my perspective. I'm sure I could do a 500 day. Don't want to. Never did. Hate super slabs. So, in a way, as it relates to these rallies it's the destination, NOT the journey.

I admire those that do 850 per day and more. Iffin' many of you didn't I wouldn't get to see ya'!!!

alrighty ... my route is initially planned out.

I looked at the map and it seems that the best route from Hopewell, IL to Metamora, IL would go through San Marcos, TX ...

"Final" details yet to be worked out ... but it does seem to make sense ... at least to me ...

Dog days. Usually, and I stress usually, hot and dry. It does, on occasion reach triple digits. And, it's a bitch cause the humidity is about the same number! Creeks are drying up and the lawn is dying. That's the typical. Course, last time we tried this the remnents of hurricane Isaac hung over my house for a week!!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hysterical.gif) Races were delayed for 2 weeks!

Scotto I think it would be a damn small man who would hold animosity over others ideas and beliefs (Particularly politics) I for one would enjoy meeting you and shaking your hand.

Thanks man. I know it. I meant that jokingly.

Man, my '01 is down. But, I need some pressure to get it fixed. You fly in here you can ride it (Ty's bike). You used to own one!!! You'd be used to it!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

That's a very kind offer. Thank you. I really can't but I wish I could.

Quick question, since Illinois does not have a reciprocal CHL agreement with any other state what is the legal method of transporting a handgun for us out of state types?

I like be able to study the map a bit before heading to places I've never been.

Sure, but too much planning will take the fun out of it... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Mike is coming through OK but I don't think Anita will go for that... It's a pretty boring ride it's nicer going through Arkansas but we'll see....

Either way I'll get the info to you....
