(* I know that it is a Friday the 13th ... *)

So ... I'm in ... who else has interest??

There are limits on my route for this one ... so, Ordy ... picking you up on the way probably would not work ... Rick or TexAss peeps ... maybe

Sandra will be inviting peeps as well...

Does not change Deadwood gathering ... I'm still in for that one as well ...

What's happening in Deadwood?

http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/index...showtopic=37086

Unknown... Discussing vacation options. I loved Deadwood before it became one giant casino. What a great place, Mark.

Also, discussing Tyfest. Don't know how I turn that down. Actually, Sandra needs this, if I may be so bold. Hell, so do I. Talking logistics...

I know Sherri and I really want to go...and we will try...but like Deadwood we have some obstacles. Money (We'd have to fly), time off for her, care for Janie and the dogs. Why does life have to be so hard sometimes??? :/

That being said we really want to go. Might be a decision we make early next year.

Ride safe

I'm in for the TyFest. Don't think riding there is feasible then for me then, but I'll have a bike there somehow.

Talked to Sandra today and she is excited about it and wants to be sure the word got out - thanks, Mike!

We can do a ride to Jerome or a couple other places if the group wants. I am picking Sandra up from Ft. Riley on Sat and will talk to her more about what she'd like to do then.

Could be cold and snow that time of year in places. I remember riding that way and back in earlier Oct with highs of 25 and snow around Albuquerque - froze my ass off!

I'd like to ride out and back, but I'll probably have my brother haul my LA Road King down to Phoenix for me. I just had new tires and all the fluids changed, so I'll want to put some miles on it. Depends on weather.

I hope not to trailer ... but, having previously ridden in snow I would prefer not doing it again ...

The second cool part is with AZ and NM on this trip and hitting ND when we go to Deadwood will allow me to complete the lower 48 ...

What are the lodging arrangements?

And is there a way to put Ted's Hotdogs on the itinerary? Damn good hotdogs there (or at least they used to be).

Cricket.... cricket...

We're getting ready to hit "purchase" on our airfare. Flying in to Sky Harbor on the 12th, and flying out on the 16th.

Space is reportedly tight at the house. Spring training in the area at that time. Where is everyone planing on staying?

For those of you not on the HST Facebook site Sandra posted this on the event on facebook:

Hi Guys, We are finalizing the T-Shirt order, were you interested, they are not HST related they are Ty related lol but I'm sure we will all go to a ball game and wear them on that day. If you are interested let me know the size/sizes you need we have to have the order in this weekend. I think the cost is going to be $15.00 each. Cant wait to see all of you!

Also:
The baseball games she is looking at going to:

definitely the one on the 13 indians vs diamond backs, then definitely sunday the 15th indians vs padres, he was also a big padres fan his extra special grandpa was a padres fan. then at the beginning of the week or more if we want to.

Hope all will forgive me, but at my ripe old age I'm not good at walking any distance at what would be considered a normal rate, and I don't want to slow the horde down. Also sitting for a couple hours doesn't make my back feel any better, Sooooo we will be passing on the Baseball games. I know the 'tribe' and baseball were a HUGE part of Ty's life and should be celebrated so I'm glad the rest of the group will be there to honor Ty's memory. We'll see everyone in the evenings after the games. Being 70 isn't a lot of fun.
