Bought my FatBoy from Dale. Horse traded a '63 Buick Riviera. His kid Matt drove it for years. His first car. Not bad, I'd say.

He was kind enough to give me a personal back stage tour of the museum when it was in Mt. Vernon. Very cool then. Can't imagine now. But, I'd like to get there someday.

Plan for next year?

That would be a good place, if ya got a drizzle you can hang out at Dale's checking everything out. When I saw the place at Mt Vernon Il. years ago I spend half the day there. Is everything still for sale?

I do not know what is / isn't for sale ... nothing had a price on it ...

LOTS of cool stuff there ... enjoyable visit.

Last time I was there you just asked and they gave you the price. Spent a bunch of time checking out a stock 39 Knuckle CHP all original in great shape. Especially got a kick out of the Knuckle trike that the Canadian's made (dozen).

Plan for next year?

Sara and I are hoping to host next year in Minnesota. Plans are in the beginning stages. I've been approved for time off work for the last two weeks of July 2016. The rally will be held one of those two weeks depending on a member vote of likely attendees. Because weather in northern Minnesota is typically quite a bit cooler, we thought it best to pick a typically warm/hot month. We also thought a late July rally may lend itself to a stop in Sturgis for those who may be traveling back in that direction.

Right now I'd say early arrivals there on Wednesday can look forward to the best of our local routes around Mankato in southern Minnesota...roughly 150 mile day. Then Thursday the group rides north together into the wilderness where we hope to secure a large cabin lodge similar to what we had in the Hocking Hills of Ohio back in 2011. Friday/Saturday group rides and hanging out...maybe get to see the northern lights at night while listening to wolves howl...and Sunday everybody leaves after breakfast. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bike.gif)

We've got a lot of homework to do, but we have had a couple/few years to think about this and we've been to enough of these to know what works and what doesn't...so hopefully we can put on a class act and get some of our favorite regulars to show up with a few newbies.

So I know it's early, but WHO THINKS THEY'RE IN FOR THIS ONE?

I'm in👍😃. If there's anything I can do to assist just let me know. I will probably take the entire week plus the following Monday and Tuesday. Possibly hookup with peeps riding in, and then ride Sunday and Monday with the Texans 😎. My vacation slip is just waiting for the dates.

I'm at the point where I need to expand Robert, but 20 years in management has taught me not to trust others with my clients equipment and hard earned buissenes.
The truth is I could probably find somebody to work for me for a week but Kim can't, she is under contract not to take vacation in her busy season and I felt wrong taking a week off while she worked both our jobs last year, she never complained or said a word but I will not do that again.

The tournament went well, although my fishing skills have hit the skids since I bought the Harley and spend every weekend riding now instead of fishing.

There were some issues from all the rain but nothing too serious, all was safe after a week or so after the monsoons.

This is great to see the early enthusiasm! I'll start another thread specifically dedicated to this rally.
