Adli - Planning on leaving Monday the 13th. Running I-81 south for ~100 miles, then hanging a right on I-64 @ Lexington, Va and running it to Lexington, Kentucky. Taking the Blue Grass Parkway across Kentucky to Paducah where I get on Rt 60 and go thru Cairo Illinois (neat park where the Mississippi & Ohio rivers meet) on the way to Poplar Bluff. Eminance is about 400 miles from Lexington.

Weather permitting I'm thinking about staying at Lawrenceburg Ky (30 miles west of Lexington) Monday nite.

Name a motel there if ya want to meet Monday nite?

We're leaving Monday also, crossing the river at Hannibal MO and staying the night in Hermann MO.

Good times here!

Yes Gary, we'll figure out some route north from Galena for Friday to end up either at Buck and Dot's house in Tomah or just meet them out by their cabin somewhere. It would be great if we could see you and Mike somewhere in this trip....Maybe Sick Puppy will part with a little holy water to bless our contingent of the "Last chance rally" so you can deliver it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

You guys totally made my day! I haven't had a chance to tell Sara yet, but I'm sure she'll be equally excited that we're going to see you guys. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bike.gif) Do you and Buck have to work that Friday till late afternoon? We can putz around scenic routes planning to arrive in the area when you're free.

So Gary- Now you know where we're heading from Galena. On our way south, I chose to cross over into Iowa for their scenic river route. On the way north, I wanted to ride the Illinois/Wisconsin side at least till we got up to that Potosi brewery I was sad to be bypassing on the way south.

Sick: If Jim does make it to the Ozark's,all of the Motel rooms have 2 queen beds, so you guys could double up. I haven't booked rooms in the Lawerenceburg area yet, I'll get on it today. Are you locked in to that area or would you consider someplace further West and maybe a little South. We're coming from Maggie Valley and would like to do the Dragon on Monday, which would bring us thru Tennessee. We will be in the Nashville area Saturday night and rolling thru central Kentucky on Sunday. Hit me with a email and I'll get you my number so we can talk about options.

Clay: Friday and Saturday are still up in the air. It's going to depend on weather, and how fried I am from the previous 7days of riding.

Buck n' Dot: It looks like you guys are hosting the 10th annual rally after all. You 2 rock👍😎. Hopefully I will get a chance to take advantage of your TRUE hospitality and toast with a couple of other cheeseheads.

We'll be there Friday & Saturday Gary...so even if you take your time heading north, you could rendezvous with us somewhere Saturday on your way back home....unless you're waiting till Sunday to go home like us. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bike.gif)

Dot- Unless you have GPS mappable quordinates for your cabin, would you suggest a meeting area in a nearby town where we could meet? From there I can start planning my route up on Friday.

Adli - Jim's work schedule won't let him make this run.

It's ~900 miles from here to Eminance and Lexington Ky is over the half way point for me, knot interested in making it any further west as I have only 400 miles to go from there and gain a time zone just west of Lawrenceburg to boot! Heading South is further out of the way so Lawrenceburg is about as far as I want to try for.

If ya want to run another route and it has you crossing the Mississippi on Rt 60 be sure to take a pit stop @ Fort Defiance State Park just south of Cairo Illinois. Nest view of the intercourse of the Mississippi & Ohio rivers.

Ok...Here is my route planned north from Galena:

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Galena,+IL+...5746959!3e0

Hope it works out to meet up in LaFarge Wisconsin Buck and Dot. I included as many of the recommended routes on the site http://www.motorcycleroads.us/states/wi.html as I could to get this far without rerunning the routes we did heading south. Should be lots of new sights for us on this run. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bike.gif)

The inspections are waived for antique motorcycles in Virginia, the registration is good for 100 years......but if you go that route you are "limited" to where and when you can ride it. To shows or meets and to test repairs but I think your not supposed to go over 250 miles from home and that ain't me!

So I end up keeping regular normal registration like any other bike. It's your choice which way you go with that.

Good answer!

Dot- Unless you have GPS mappable quordinates (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hysterical.gif) for your cabin, would you suggest a meeting area in a nearby town where we could meet? From there I can start planning my route up on Friday.

Try these coordinates Clay: not good to publish Dot - this is the cabin location...we could also hook up at the Rockton Bar.

ps Clay, sorry we took so long to reply, just got back from vacation today.
