Hey guy's i have an 88 evo 883 engine with a cable clutch that leaks a fair amount of oil is there an "O" ring seal there or does the cable itself have to be replaced ?

before tearing into the cover to remover the cable assembly i would check to make sure the cable housing is tight and if you can see if the o ring is split around the mating surface, but most likely your o ring has split, also make you havent over filled the primary with il you only need to have 1.5 pts as required by the oem service man

overfilling is a common reason for the weaping out of the cable.

I put an evo engine 1988 883 into an 83 xlh frame but never got a manual yet i ordered one but shipping is slow here in canada and i was just wondering if maybe i have a vent line hooked up to my tank wrong, i am thinking it is the line that goes under the starter on the engine is a vent and i have oil pressure running there . so what i am asking is, is that a vent or does the tranny need oil pushed there ?
