Originally, this was in our plans. That was when we thought we would be living in PCB. Maybe we will go next year. We're going for a day to the 'Run to the Heartland' in Sebring this weekend. Enjoy and be safe!

We are going on two bikes. This will be my first long trip on the softail and it fits me now. I should do just fine. Yep did great. No problems... Funny thing is it is almost like coming home again. We lived 1 1/2 hours from here most of our military career. 350 miles 6.5 hours.

We made it home a while back. Very windy today and turned chilly. Had to put on cool weather riding clothes. We've got some pics to post. Not many. We'll get them posted when I have some time.

I will say this.... I used to think:
1. Your chances of survival are better if you are wearing a helmet if you have a wreck
2. But it should be the rider's choice whether or not to wear one
3. If given the opportunity to ride helmetless, I would still wear one
4. I don't like the sensation of the wind in my hair (kinda tickles kinda itches)

Now that I have had more opportunity, I have amended my thinking thus:
1. Your chances of survival are better if you are wearing a helmet if you have a wreck
2. But it should be the rider's choice whether or not to wear one
3. If given the opportunity to ride helmetless, I would probably go without one
4. I don't know why I didn't like it before. Feels good.

Rode around all weekend without a helmet. What a blast.

Glad you two made it back in one piece and you had a great time. Can't wait to see the pictures.

I rode mine yesterday for about 140 miles, and that's the first time in a month. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) I figured that my chances of riding again anytime soon was just about nill so I changed all 3 holes when I pulled it into the garage. Now she's ready to go to sleep for the winter. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/sheepjumprope.gif)

Glad you had a good time Mark and Earline! Next time you go down that way give us enough time and you can get the hook up with the guys down that way. Thay carried me all over the place off the beaten path. We were in your neck of the woods this weekend. Stayed in gadsen on sat nite and came back up thru Guntersville and Huntsville yesterday, And it was windy and got colder by the mile!!

The pink one was real nice. The front of the fairing said "Sweetie". I wonder if it's a chick's bike? lol

There were a lot of Boss Hoss bikes and trikes there. More than I've ever seen anywhere else.

I actually kept forgetting to take pictures. There could have been a lot more, but I was busy being a wide eyed kid. Too busy looking at everything to be taking pictures.

I can't seem to locate an official tally, and I'm absolutely not qualified to make a guess, so I won't. All I can tell you is that there were an awful lot of bikes and there is NO WAY anyone could roll through town in their car and not realize there was a bike rally. Just about every other vehicle was a bike.
