I am going through several starter relay's a month. We figure there must be an underlying problem, but the research Mike has done really hasn't given us much to work with. Anyone else experience this? Yes, my 01 Sportster 883.

Possibly check the current draw on your starter. Check to ensure that the connections for your starter and starter solenoid are good with minimal resistance.

He cleaned the connections, but he doesn't have a meter, he said. In fact, he has never used one. How do they work? (We were in Ohio for 2 weeks, and my husband is king of the procrastinators.)
