Have a 1988 FXRS that needs rear suspension and not sure it has ever been replaced. Not looking for anything fancy but when I look on J&P Cycles the length ranges from 11" to 13.5". How do I know what to go with?

Thanks in advance

Stock is most likely the 13.5. If you do two up or you are heavier I'd stay with stock. Otherwise I would not go much more than an inch lower to maintain travel.

Measure yours.

Measure from the center of the bolt holes or entire shock?

Thanks

We did ride two up on this bike up until the rear suspension seemed shot this past Summer.

Thanks

Yes, with no load on shock.

Did a measurement today, 13" from center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole.

Thanks again
