found these the other day and can say that after riding into/back from work with them on in 40degree weather and winds - they are a great add-on to your winter riding gear if you don't use a full faced helmet or one with ear flaps, and come with a handy bag to store them in when not in use (as small as they are, they can even go in your pocket):

they don't have the wire band that earmuffs have, and they don't conflict with your chin strap or helmet fitment like a balaclava can. maybe it's just psychological, but my whole body feels much warmer with these on, and maybe so, since 40% or so of your body heat escapes through your head ... the ears hafta be a good conduit for some of that heat loss and the core temp drop affected by it.

anyways, found them at REI for $15, and you can order them online directly from the manufacturer's rep here in the states. hope they help someone else that might be looking for a solution for cold ears.
