I got stuck in a traffice jam Monday in 100 dergree heat and made the decision that I am getting new pipes.
The stock exhaust is ubserd for trafic in hot weather to the point of being almost dangerous. That said I am in the looking stage with a lot of choices out there.
Do any of you have any experiance with the VH Big Radius exhaust? They fit my budjet and I kinda like the look.

I dunno, but I almost put some on mine. I really like the way they look and sound.

You might want to check the fitment to make sure that they will work with your brides passenger floorboards before you order them....

They look good and sound good but I've never seem them on a bike with passenger floorboards.

Good point L&P that had not occured to me. There is no going back on the passenger foot board now either, the wife loves them.

I believe Robert is correct. I would check it out.

However...I have em and I love em! Some of the best money I put into my bike. :)

Does anyone know if the big radius will fit on the Heritage with hard bags? The figment says they fit my bike, but it's already been outfitted with the hard bags. I can't find an image anywhere of what it would look like.

Welcome to the shop Redhead, in my opinion your best bet would be to go to a V&H retailer and mock up the pipes for fit before you buy.
If they won't do it don't buy there and move on to the next shop.

Had them on my Deuce. Don't see why they wouldn't as the front pipes length terminated just at the junction between the frame and swingarm. I've seen them on Fatboys with the Harley leather bags; looks badass. Have seen them on a Electra glide. Seemed out of place.

The Deuce was one of Harleys longest bikes. Sat high too and was said to have excellent cornering ability due to it's clearance. But even with that I scraped the tip of the Big Radius pipes while turning in a helix. I don't think you should have a problem but like Jarhead said, go to a seller or call them and ask if they are spec'ed for the Heritage. If your hardbag reaches the swingarm pivot shaft then chances are all bets are off...

Good luck

Welcome to HST.

I just got a set of Big Radius 2 into 2 for the 2017 Street Bob and noticed it came with an exhaust gasket from V&H, but it looks like the screamin' eagle one's. The stock gaskets (tapered) one's look a bit beerier, are the stock one's better that the screamin' eagle one's?

Thanks

Even though you're right about the tapered ones being "beefier" I've had better luck with the flat ones. I think install (for my old arthritic hands) is always more successful. Not sure that's a pattern. Just my .02.

Great sound and looks, had them on my Deuce like Ordy. Hard corning I would drag the tip. Everything is a compromise as there are better pipes for performance but I really liked the looks. Sounded AWESOME going through tunnels.......
