This ones on the fucking way... If it doesn't fit right, they take returns.... $6 to exchange size or color, or a 10% restocking fee on a refund... Since I'm reasonably sure it's a fit, should only cost me $6 to fucken adjust.... (iffuckennecessary?)

Im new to riding and am looking at getting a fullface helmet that is both DOT and Snell approved but am somewhat confused at the prices. Why is it that i can get a helmet which passes both for anywhere between $150 and $600. The only differences i see in the descriptions of the helmets is the number of vents, colors and if it has a lifting face, is that all there is to the price difference or is there an added saftey benefit to paying more that im just not seeing

The difference is fit and finish, and of course the name brand. There isn't a difference safety wise to speak of, as long as it passes the tests.

Just so there's no confusion,.......DOT does not approve a certain helmet. DOT set's the "STANDARD" on what a helmet manufacturer should be making a helmet too. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/afro.gif)

Get one that is comfortable for extended periods. I have a nice HJC, but after wearing it for a while, my cheeks get sore. Gets old real quick. It seems to fit my head correctly, but it puts a lot of pressure on my cheeks.

If DOT approves then you're cool.
