Did you paint it yourself? If so, what sort of setup do you have?

Great story... After retirement and I was bored I got a part-time job at Lowe's. You know, 10 bucks an hour and all I could steal. Anyway a guy walks up to me wanting to know where we keep the spray paint. I told him we just got in a shipment of Krylon in the easy snort cans.

Now, I thought that was funny. Turns out the guy is a drug counselor! Filed a complaint with the manager.

John the store Manager thought it was funny as hell. Said he had a hard time not laughing when the unhappy customer quoted me.

Well, I took it to be painted.

My story is this: (short version) I let this guy ride my bike. He WAS a neighbor (I killed him). He told me storied about being in a MC in Alabama etc, etc. I let him ride the bike. I don't know if you can call it riding, because he never actually made it out of my driveway. He actually ran into the front of my house with it. If it wasn't the pillar in front of my house he would have actually been in my front door! (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) I screamed "my bike, I mean are you ok, my bike"!!

I learned a hard lesson, that no one is riding my bike again.

Guess who didn't have any insurance, didn't have money to pay for any damages etc???

So, I've always wanted a red bike with flames and now I have one. I guess I win?!?

Sorry you had to learn that lesson. I myself have no problem letting someone ride my bike provided they have a valid motorcycle license..[proof that at one point he could ride] and usually a motorcycle of their own so when they take mine for a spin, I'm along for the ride on theirs.

When I was selling my Springer I had NO TEST RIDES printed in the add and the fliers I made. I was amazed at the number of people that wanted to ride it. When I asked them to leave the $14,000 I was asking as a deposit, none had any money. I asked "How in the fuck do you plan on buying my motorcycle if you don't have any money" Most just left. Older guy that bought it just wanted to hear it run, said he was going to offer me a low ball amount, but after seeing the bike didn't want to insult me. Whipped out 140 hundred dollar bills, loaded the bike in the back of a beautiful 1955 Chevy Pick-up and drove back to Santa Maria.

I like it.

Hopefully, my next vehicle is a '55 to '57 Chevy pick up. Daily driver. 12k budget. Get on it Jimmy. (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) (IMG:http://www.harleyshoptalk.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/hysterical.gif)

Allstate is a big customer. Lots of "client facing" folks here have "Mayhem" T-shirts. Wish I had one. Great series of commercials, IMO.
