Junky one failed ... so, I am installing a new / better one ...

I should be able to install in next week ... since I have the front of the bike already all torn apart ... LOL

(* Radio ordered yesterday *)

Nice!

I hear you on the dealer wash, Mike! I tell them after service - don't wash it! I don't trust the gomer with the pressure washer, and the bike usually looks worse after their wash job.

I like it Mike.

Similar to the Sony I have in my bike in that you can connect an iPod behind the faceplate and leave it. Nice that it has bluetooth though.

Ride safe

Did you go with the more expensive model with color display? I am considering the same purchase as my 05 stock radio seems to be failing. I have another friend who put that same radio in last year, along with an amp; and he's very happy with it.

I did go the Color display route ... The other one was $100 ==> $150 less ... but since the bike is NEVER about cost effectiveness ...

LOL ... it was the exact same ... Mikey bought that set-up after hearing mine ... I REALLY did like that radio

But Water proof will long-term make me happier ... plus new system will use a direct connection to HD wire hook-up versus adaptor ...

Very nice! I think I should do the same for mine. HD radio is not great, plus the Sirius is a great addition.

$50 for the receiver from Best Buy

Sirius is $25 for 5 months ... then you call to cancel and get the $25 for 5 months again ... it is a hassle ... but a cheap way to get service.

Nice feature on radio is adjustable tray size within unit to pinch/hold ipod versus nano versus ipone ...

How is the regular terrestrial radio reception AM/FM?? One of my beefs with aftermarket radios is the inferiority of the FM tuner sensitivity compared to the in all other ways inferior stock head units.

hmmm once it stops raining I will find out.

I do have the HD power antenna inside the batwing ... so, that might alter the results ...
