It's a shame that Sowell and Walter Williams are both in their 70's Either would have made a great leader.

- Movin' on Up [Theme from The Jeffersons] Lyrics

Send “Movin' on Up [Theme from The Jeffersons]” Ringtone to Your Cell

Well we're movin on up,
To the east side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin on up,
To the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.

Fish don't fry in the kitchen;
Beans don't burn on the grill.
Took a whole lotta tryin',
Just to get up that hill.
Now we're up in the big leagues,
Gettin' our turn at bat.
As long as we live, it's you and me baby,
There ain't nothin wrong with that.

Well we're movin on up,
To the east side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin on up,
To the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.

No, in spite of the fact that they're black. I don't much care what color obama's skin is. It's the fact that he was elected because of his race rather than in spite of it that pisses me off.
Listen to Sowell and Williams, or better yet, read their columns. Had you not known them to be black by reputation or from seeing their faces, you could not tell anything about their race. The 2 men are Americans who happen to be of African decent, not self identified African-Americans who draw attention to their race. They are the embodiment of MLK's message. They are and want to be judged on their character, not their race.
