I'm trying to find a set of passenger footboards for my 05 FLSTSCI, but everything that is listed in the Harley catalog says it "Excludes FLSTSC,....". I know that they were available, because two other springers I looked at had them. I can't imagine the frame is that drastically different than other softails of that timeframe, with the exception that mine has left and right mufflers. (which bolt to the passenger footpeg bracket)
So, does anyone know what will fit? I guess I could ask the dealer on Monday, but I wanted to check here first. There is a set on ebay for a decent price (50602-00), but they also say they exclude my bike. Thanks! -Mike |

Excludes FLSTC is the most common phrase in the Harley accessories catalogue, but if you go to the Harley site, select genuine motor accessories and put in your bike year and model, you'll find quite a few to choose from.

Yeah, I have been seeing that "excludes" phrase a lot.
Thanks for the info! --Mike |

Mine's an earlier model and that phrase used to really piss me off. Found what they called "heritage" boards I think. Fitted them for rider and passenger. Only issue was passenger boards go on a hexagonal shaft so can't exactly be fine tuned and they were at different angles. Just had to find passengers with differing leg lengths! Gotta love quality control!

Hey all, I just wanted to put closure to this little saga. I ended up buying a footboard kit for a 2000 and up Heritage(50602-00), and found out that it wouldn't quite work. The problem I had is that the left-side bracket was missing the mounting boss for the left side crossover pipe.
I was finally able to get the part number of the original footboard kit for the FLSTSC, which was 50955-00, but it's now discontinued. I checked with the dealer anyway, and he was able to look up the parts list for the old kit, which led me to find out that the only real difference between the 50602-00 and 50955-00 kit was the left-side mount. The mount that comes with the newer kit is 50483-00, but for the Springer, you actually need part number 50482-00. Of course, that part is also discontinued, but the dealer was able to check inventory at other dealers, and found one in stock somewhere in Missouri. He's having it shipped here next week, so hopefully I'll be back in business. There was a fair number of dealers listed that still had the old part, so if anyone else is looking, you should be able to come up with one. (Just don't friggin' buy mine before it's shipped. ) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Later! --Mike |

I went through the same issues with putting floorboards on my Night Train.
The Hertage parts were the key for me as well. In the next week or two I will have the passenger boards installed as well ... FXSTBagger (a new breed of Harley ... ) |
