I added the detachable sissy bar/luggage rack back in November. (posted then)
Other than that a few new bugs on the headlight is about it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/closedeyes.gif) Had plans for new bars but the funds aint there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) |

NADA...yet.
Rear brake Master cylinder, rotor. New front rotors/pads of course. Fluids, including fork oil Rubber (not sure about this but I'll need new skins no later than Vacaville) New "leaner" SERT map (tweak, tweak, tweak, tweak, tweat, tweat and so on... Alignment - she pulls to the left (No, I haven't fixed it Clay but I'm pretty sure I know where your instructions are.) Really need rear shocks. BUT FIRST - De-bug code it's throwing, resolve. GEEZ, ain't now way I have time for this. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) Man, would I love to Hawg Wire this thing! |

Only counting from late December to February... our winter.
Hmmmm, gotta think about this. Hear the rapp beat Rode her to the mountains Rode her to the sea Rode in Arizona Doncha envy me Rode to Nevada Rode to Palm Springs Rode her on the Desert BUT Didn't change no things When I (we) had the Softails and Sportie we spent a fortune on those machines. Really good looking scoots!. When I finally sold the Springer we decided no more! Only thing I changed on the WideGlide was grips, pegs, and comfort stuff. The E-Glide was back rest, radio, camera, and a bunch of wiring and switch stuff. The bucks we spent in paint and chrome would have bought us another bike!

I had plans to pull the front forks and install the race tech front suspension components I pulled from my wrecked FLHT. I want it done before the Cali run; but now I gotta find a new workspace once I get the bike from Shelly's Mom's. It's been near 40* here all week and the snow is melting...might be able to get the bike soon if this keeps up.
Other than that, I've just got the usual maintenance in mind...and apply my JoeyG sticker. Need to get my patch sewn on my vest also so Joey can ride with me to Cali. |

no mods. In fact, other than aftermarket mufflers or pipes, and a rejet or some type fuel optmizer for an efi bike, I rarely ever do any mods. Well, sometimes a different seat or handlebars if the stock isn't comfortable.
I think I got my bait of custom when my first Harley back in 1976 was a chopper. And if I want to go fast on two wheels, I'd probably buy some used jap bike. To be quite frank about it, I am more timid about raising hell on two wheels than I was when I was young. This post has been edited by DavidHarleyson: Mar 4 2010, 08:43 PM |

I didn't do anything to my bike. Haven't washed it since before Halloween. Rode it only once for about 45 minutes since then. Weather has been shitty. Battery got weak and I had to get one of them tender/chargers. Seems to work (for now). Jeesh I sure hope this coming year allows for more riding.

Finally got around to the '06R, did mods I had planned for three years, which included time shopping for "takeoffs', etc. Put black drag bars on 4" black risers, painted the fork lowers and "sport" fender to match, adding a black "SuperBrace" and fork gaiters. New steering head bearings, fork oil and black S.S. brakelines with new fluid. Front and rear axle covers, swingarm pivot covers, black inspection cover and derby cover. Painted side covers, and proceeded to chop the rear fender, covering it up with an early "V-Rod" rear fender, modifying both of the "Mustang" seat bases for the new contour. Added a L.E.D. "V-Rod" brake light and L.E.D. turn signal bulbs all around. I have yet to modify the detachable luggage rack and sissybar bases, but have managed to put on over 2,500 miles the last couple weeks. |
